Lubricity Improvers

LUBRICITY IMPROVERS

The most common process applied to desulfurize fuel and reduce aromatic levels in a refinery is called hydroprocessing.
This process also removes trace materials and reduces the concentration of polar molecules (Sulfur, Oxygen and Nitrogen) and polycyclic hydrocarbons which provide natural, inherent lubricity to fuels.

Low fuel lubricity can lead to fuel pump wear and engine failure, since diesel engines rely on fuel to lubricate the fuel injection equipment.

To meet the lubricity requirements of many diesel fuel specifications, LUBRICITY IMPROVERS are frequently required, to protect against engine wear and reduce maintenance costs.
