FUEL OIL ADDITIVES

FUEL OIL ADDITIVES` (FOA) main purpose in refineries is to increase fuel blend economics and to reduce instability in cracked streams, by increasing the proportion of lower cost streams in the pool of middle distillates.

Unstable fuels can have a variety of negative effects, including:

Filter blockages in distribution and vehicles
Damage to fuel lines and tanks
The formation of engine deposits
