Cold Flow Improvers

Low temperature performance issues of middle distillates can be defined by the following properties:

CLOUD POINT: The temperature below which wax in diesel or biowax in biodiesels forms a cloudy appearance.
COLD FILTER PLUGGING POINT (CFPP): The lowest temperature at which a given volume of diesel type of fuel still passes through a standardized filtration device in a specified time when cooled under certain conditions. It is an indication of vehicle low temperature operability.
POUR POINT: The temperature below which a liquid loses its flow characteristics.
